Fans of Huskers gathered at Set the Bar in Benson, which is the sole sports bar in Nebraska focused exclusively on women’s sports.
Even though they didn’t win the major match, supporters had a great time eating and drinking while watching the game.
“Sue Tharnish, a resident of Benson, mentioned that this place is easily accessible and welcoming. The locals are friendly and inclusive, always eager to ensure you have a great day,” she stated.
Precisely what the bar aimed to achieve — inclusion.
The focus isn’t solely on women’s sports; it’s also about promoting equality and ensuring everyone feels welcome,” explained Kiley Valien, who works as a hostess at Set the Bar.
When first-time visitors Kim and Michelle entered through the doorway, they immediately felt at ease.
“And clearly, this openness extends to our entire family and beyond. It’s wonderful being authentic and having fun whenever we get the chance—yeah, it’s truly delightful to have the opportunity to watch women’s sporting events,” stated Kim Burlingame.
This place offers a secure environment and highlights women’s athletics as well.
It’s wonderful being able to connect with the younger generation so they can mature knowing they have backing from others, seeing recognition from the public, and understanding their efforts aren’t solely for personal gain.
Molly Huyuck, the owner, takes pride in running the establishment.
” I simply adore having a spot where it doesn’t matter what colored jersey you have on; you can cheer for your team,” Huyuck stated.
A haven for devoted enthusiasts of women’s athletics where they can finally feel at home.
“It’s truly awesome to witness the number of individuals within our community who have maintained their passion for women’s sports over the years. Now we have a shared space where everyone can come together,” stated Callaghan Cavanaugh.
