MONROE, La. (KNOE) – An artist specializing in murals traveled from Virginia to visit Oak Grove.
Cheyenne Renee has come to Oak Grove as part of her ’50 in 50′ initiative, during which she aims to create 50 murals across all 50 U.S. states.
Renee expressed her hope that the new artwork in downtown Oak Grove will be finished by April 23.
Public art has the potential to greatly improve areas that we encounter daily, such as dining spots or local businesses that folks pass through regularly,” Renee explained. “Additionally, it helps establish a sense of belonging within a community and makes residents enthusiastic about their surroundings.
