Nail Artist Stunned by Demand to Paint Deceased Client’s Fingernails

A nail technician from Bangkok has recounted an emotional experience of having been requested to decorate the fingernails of a woman who passed away in a traffic incident on her way to a planned meeting with the artist.

On May 19, a Facebook user named ‘Cher Ryn,’ who runs a nail salon, shared a dialogue with someone pretending to be a friend of a client who had canceled an appointment scheduled for the previous evening without showing up.

The friend informed her that the lady passed away in a traffic incident while heading to keep their appointment and enquired whether the artist would still be willing to paint her nails, though this time at a temple rather than a salon.

As mentioned in the conversation, the late woman had strongly wished for her nails to be done at that specific salon. She allegedly told her friend the previous evening, “If I can’t do this, I won’t be able to find peace.”

Following her passing, her relatives asserted that she visited them in their dreams, steadfastly demanding that same nail technician and rejecting every alternative offered.

The nail technician first consented to the location switch but withdrew afterward upon discovering she would be dealing with a dead body. She was overcome and not mentally ready for such an encounter.

Following the discussion, the artist later mentioned experiencing anxiety and insomnia and stated that she intended to seek medical advice on coping with the stress.

Cher Ryn mentioned that she indeed got ready multiple sets of press-on nails featuring various designs for delivery to the family. They intended to put them on prior to the cremation ceremony.

“I’m not sure if she will appreciate them, but I put in my best effort,” the artist commented in an additional posting.

She returned the deposit as well and requested that the funds be utilized for merit-making in honor of the departed woman.

It was reported that the deceased customer’s mother was deeply distressed by the critical remarks made online. The family pleaded with everyone not to rush to judge severely and to respect the young woman’s last wishes, ensuring her dignity in death.

Later, the artist shared images of the finished nail designs that were ready for the funeral. She opted to have them delivered through a shipping company since she was too distraught to be present personally, she explained.

The family intended to place the nails during the concluding ceremony, hoping this would assist the departed woman in finding peace.
