PSSI Accelerates Naturalization Process of Eliano Reijnders and Mees Hilgers So They Can Play For Indonesia Soon. Coordinating with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, PSSI has planned to take the oath of two naturalized players, Eliano Raindjsers and Meesh Hilgers, in the Netherlands, scheduled for September 22 or 23, 2024.
PSSI continues to strive to accelerate the process of transferring Eliano and Hilgers’ citizenship. This effort was made so that the two players could appear in the Asian zone World Cup qualifying window, which will be held in October.
Ordamit, taking the oath without having to come to Indonesia is difficult because the two players are in the middle of the competition season in the Netherlands. Hence, it is impossible to take the oath in Indonesia.
According to PSSI, taking the oath abroad does not violate the rules, so this option is the most realistic to encourage accelerating the process of transferring the citizenship of Randers and Mers. This means that we must respect the club in which they play.
That’s where we look for a way that is by the rules. So it’s not outside the rules; yes, we try to take the oath in another country, like some Indonesian people who take the oath in other countries too, so it’s not something unique; yes, we have nothing special; we all respect the law, both the laws in Indonesia and FIFA rules.
