Avoiding Fatigue, Indonesian National Team Will Charter a Plane to Visit China
Avoiding Fatigue, Indonesian National Team Will Charter a Plane to Visit China. The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has made a significant statement clarifying that the charter fee for the Indonesian National Team’s use of a non-commercial aircraft during the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers was not sourced from the state budget (APBN). The decision to charter a private plane was driven by the demanding schedule faced by the team in Group C, particularly during their matches in Bahrain and China.
PSSI’s deputy chairman, Zainuddin Amali, highlighted that the charter fee was entirely covered by the association’s revenue budget, which includes contributions from sponsors and other commercial activities. The rationale behind this decision was to ensure the well-being and optimal performance of the players. Using a commercial flight, as done previously, would have resulted in physical exhaustion for the team, impacting their training and recovery ahead of the crucial match in China.
By taking this approach, PSSI aims to prioritize the team’s preparations and ensure they are in the best possible condition for their upcoming fixtures. It is imperative to note that the use of a non-commercial aircraft was deemed a necessary measure to address the unique circumstances of the team’s fixtures in a timely and efficient manner.
